Out with the Old, In with the New: Why the Change?

The move away from the previous systems (including Webassessor/Kryterion) is driven by a clear vision: to create a single, intuitive hub for all things certification. The previous process, while functional, often involved juggling multiple logins and platforms. This new centralized approach promises:

• One Login, One Dashboard: Your Trailhead profile will become your single source of truth for all certifications across Salesforce, Tableau, MuleSoft, and Slack. No more switching between different portals!
• 360-Degree View of Your Certifications: Easily track your progress, view earned credentials, and explore your certification history all in one place.
• Personalized Recommendations: Get intelligent suggestions for your next certification based on your existing credentials and learning path.
• Streamlined Registration: Register for exams directly from Trailhead Academy, whether you prefer online proctoring or an in-person test center. The scheduling process through Pearson VUE is designed to be more user-friendly and offers greater flexibility.
• Mobile-Friendly Access: Manage your certification journey on the go, with the ability to register for exams from your mobile device (though exams still require a computer for completion).

Key Dates to Remember:

To ensure a smooth transition, Salesforce has communicated important deadlines:

• June 30, 2025: This was the last day to register for any Salesforce exams via Webassessor.
• July 13, 2025: This is the final day to complete any Salesforce certification exams via the Webassessor platform. If you had an exam scheduled after this date on Webassessor, you needed to either reschedule it to an earlier date or cancel and rebook in the new system.
• July 21, 2025: The official launch of the new Salesforce Certification Experience and registration on Trailhead Academy.

What Does This Mean for You?

• Existing Certifications: Don’t worry! Your existing certifications remain valid. Your Trailblazer profile will automatically update with your credentials in the new system, so ensure your Trailblazer.me email matches the one associated with your old Webassessor account.
• New Exams: All new exam registrations from July 21, 2025, onwards will take place exclusively through Trailhead Academy, powered by Pearson VUE.
• Exam Content: While the platform and experience are changing, the core content of the certification exams remains the same. Focus on your study materials and Trailhead modules as before.
• Vouchers: Valid, unexpired exam vouchers from the old system will generally be honored in the new Trailhead Academy platform.
